This is how our financial climate contribution works

If you go for print products on recycled paper, you help support climate protection projects. How does it work? For this purpose, we calculate the emissions caused by our production. We invest the financial equivalent in climate protection action – at no extra cost for you.

If you print on one of our recycled papers, you can mark these with a corresponding label. Our service and the certificate are free for you.

Our ClimatePartner projects at a glance

2020-2024

Certified climate protection and tree plantations

From 2020 to 2024, we have been supporting a combined project comprising a tree plantation initiative in Germany and a certified climate protection project in changing locations:

Tree plantation project: One tree is planted in the region of Harz, Sauerland or Vogelsberg per one saved tonne of CO₂.
Solar energy project in Togo: One photovoltaic plant generates some 88,000 MWh of power annually and supplies nearly 160,000 households and small enterprises.

2025/2026

Development of renewable energies in Asia

With our financial climate contribution, we support wind, solar, hydro and biogas as well as biomass projects on the Asian continent that are certified according to the Gold Standard and the Verified Carbon Standard.

The project is being implemented in such countries as India, China, Sri Lanka and Indonesia. Further development of these technologies will help reduce the dependency on fossil fuels, avoid carbon emissions and create jobs at the local level.

Other ways to support climate protection projects

Along with financial climate contribution for printing on recycled paper, we also offer you the possibility of supporting other climate protection projects by ClimatePartner. The suggested contribution sum is determined by ClimatePartner by means of their own calculation system that evaluates the carbon footprint of each order on the basis of such factors as product, material and quantity. Every time you order, you can decide during checkout whether you want to support one of the following projects financially:
