Imprim’Vert: successful recertification

Onlineprinters, certified for environmental sustainability since 2017

Onlineprinters, the provider of online printing services, has renewed its certification for the Imprim’Vert eco-label (French for “green printing”). The certification renewal confirms that the company continues to meet the stringent French certification requirements.

"Imprim’Vert" is a dedicated environmental certification scheme for the printing industry. The seal is awarded to printers located in France or serving customers in France that are willing to participate in regular audits. Onlineprinters first underwent the complex audit procedure in the summer of 2017, investing a five-digit amount at the time to meet all audit criteria. In 2019, the certification was due for a renewal to prove that the online printer still satisfies all standards to be allowed to carry the eco-label.

Onlineprinters has successfully renewed its Imprim’Vert environmental certification. Resource-saving production

The successful certificate renewal shows customers that the complete production of Onlineprinters is environmentally friendly. This covers the entire process chain from the carbon neutral web shops to raising staff awareness and the sustainable use of resources such as paper and ink. "Not only our customers in France benefit from the certification but also our clients in all 30 European countries to which we deliver our printed products," says Cécile Assayag-Zimmermann, Onlineprinters Marketing Manager, who was in charge of the certification procedure.

Five criteria to be met

Compliance with the following five criteria is crucial in the audit: Disposal of hazardous waste compliant with standards, safe storage of harmful liquids, no use of toxic substances, monitoring of the energy consumption and raising the environmental awareness of staff and customers. The online shop provides papers from sustainably managed forests. Customers can optionally choose carbon neutral production. Some 250,000 customers have made use of this option since it was introduced.
